Her surgery went well. Tuesday Ally and I drove up with Matt in tow to go see how she was doing. She did not look like she was happy. She can't have what she wants to eat and we all know how hospital food tastes...like cardboard ran over. Ally was very upset when she found out that her "cousin" had to have surgery and that like her little brother and her mommy she was going to have to have marks on her tummy. I know what it was like for me with my surgery and I CAN"T imagine what that beautiful little girl is going through. Ally and I have been praying for a speedy recovery for her and Ally says that when she can eat what she wants she wants to have her over for an ice-cream party...whatever that is.
It has been a little crazy in our life over the last eight and a half months and doesn't seem like it is getting any slower. Go figure.
Monday Matt was put on an Albuteral inhaler for virus induced asthma. He thinks that it is a new chew toy for him (makes him sound a bit like a dog huh?) but it is really blowing medicine into his lungs. Ally is now taking her lunch with her and loving it. She says that she just like mommy now.
At the begining of the year I posted that I was not going to make New Years Resolutions because I think that they set you up for failure subconsciously. However...I would try to do three things. The first one I am doing wonderfully at (go figure) I have successfully lost 20 pounds so far and am rearing to go. Amazing how being forced to change your diet to avoid pain can be a motivation!
'til later
