Friday night I got a call at around 6:30 from my mom about Matt. He had a temp. of 104.3! So she gave him Motrin and a tepid bath. I got home and we proceeded to continue with the baths and temp. watch. All night it kept spiking up. Two calls to the on-call doctor about what to do and if we can give him an early dose we got to the morning. John took him to the doctor and he has a mild case of the measles. WONDERFUL! Just what we wanted! We think he is over the worst of it but we are waiting to make sure. So far no high temperatures and we the rash is slowly going away.
Ally is in her second week of First grade and we are already seeing her wanting to be a part of the "in" crowd so-to-speak. There is a large group of her friends who are eating hot lunch and she is wanting to do this too. So after her informing me before school started this year that she wanted cold lunch, because that is what these little girls did last year, and me trying to explain to her that she needed to take lunch to school until next week I have finally given in because it is not worth the argument and the stress that I can see she is under. I know it is minor but I remember wanting to be with the big group of girls and wanting to do the same thing as they did so I don't want her to feel left out.
Today is a day of prayers and thoughts for friends of ours. Our very good friends daughter is having to go in today for a second surgery on her stomach for the opposite problem that Matt had. You are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you.
'till later

Thankyou for your prayers! They are much needed and appreciated. This surgery turned out a lot more complicated and the recovery is definately more painful and is going to be longer in coming:( Love you too!
